A NURSERY FIT FOR A PRINCESS
When my client said she was due with baby girl number 3 and wanted a pretty nursery that was fit for a princess (with lots of pink!), I was super excited. Creating nurseries that are glamorous AND pink is something I absolutely love.
When we discussed the specifics of what she wanted, she wanted the nursery to incorporate an African Princess theme whilst still being modern and serene. She loved a curved style crib which we upholstered in a beautiful pink, and we had the rocking chair to match. We framed the cot with a beautiful white canopy. My client also mentioned that she wanted wallpaper on two of her walls, so I had a subtle stripe installed on the one wall where we installed white roman blinds finished off with a pom pom trim, and a custom wallpaper pattern on the main feature wall behind the cot and canopy. This custom wallpaper pattern on the main wall was the inspiration behind the nursery. You will see how it works with the shape of cot, the gold pendant light we installed and our Grace mirror which we made slightly bigger for this project. We also installed two large African Princess portraits on either side of the grace mirror, which were absolutely adorable.
The love that the two older sisters have for their baby sister is such a lovely thing to see, and I only hope that all 3 of them get to laugh, play and dream in this space that was created for little Masana.
